This show is affiliated to Equifest , taking place at the East of England Showground on the 16th-19th August 2012. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify

Class 1. OPTIMUM COOLING LTD/EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS  Open Ridden Hunter , Mare or Gelding 4 yrs old and over , exceeding  153cms Riders any age

Class 2. MISS JO BREW/ EQUIFEST OPEN SMALL HUNTER
open small hunter , mare or gelding , 4 yrs old and over exceeding  148cms but not exceeding 158cms. Riders any age.

Class 4. BURGHWALLIS STUD/EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND LEAD REIN open to mountain and moorland ponies , registered with their respective Pure Bred societies of Dartmoor , Exmoor , New Forest, Shetland and welsh A or B. Mare or Gelding , 4 yrs old and over , not exceeding  122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st of January in the current year. To be held by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle,  the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.
Class 5.THE WINDSOR-PHILLIPS FAMILY/ EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND FIRST RIDDEN open to mountain and moorland ponies, registered in their respective Pure Bred Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor , New Forest, Shetland, and welsh A or B. Mare or Gelding, 4 yrs old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 12th Birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be shown in any suitable bridle.
Class 6. EQUIMAX/EQUIFEST OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN AND   MOORLAND Open to mountain and Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Breed societies of Welsh section A, B, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Shetland.
Class 7. EQUIMAX/EQUIFEST OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND  open to mountain and moorland ponies registered with their respective pure bred societies of Welsh section C, D , Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland and New Forest.

              Open in hand  Piebald / skewbald stallion, mare , Colt, filly or gelding , any age.

Class  32 : BSPA/ EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD
Open ridden Piebald/ skewbald Stallion, mare or gelding , 4 yrs old and over. Riders any age

                          Prize Money to 3rd and Rosettes to 4th place

Class 11. TACK AND TURNOUT 148cm ( 14.2hh) and under

Class 12. BEST PONY CLUB TYPE   not exceeding 148cm (14.2hh) Riders not to be over 16 yrs of age on show day. To be judged on manners,performance and suitability for all pony club type activities. To include a small jump. Conformation will not be taken into account. No lead rein permitted. Best Sinnington Rosette awarded to the highest placed Sinnington  Hunt Pony Club Member.

 Class 13. LEAD REIN PONY   any height, rider 9 yrs and under This class will be judged on suitability of the pony, conformation  will not be taken into account

 

 Class 14. FAMILY PONY to be judged on suitability for every member of the family to ride and handle. No lead Reins permitted. Conformation will not be taken into account.
Class 15.RIDDEN VETERAN 15 yrs and over, competitors will not be asked to canter.

Class 16. IN HAND YOUNG HANDLER 16yrs and under to be judged on how the child presents the horse/pony.

Class 17.   THELWELL LOOK ALIKE  lead rein permitted, riders 10 and under.

 Class 18. TINY TOTS PONY Lead rein permitted. Riders 5 yrs and under. This class to be judged on the suitability as a small childs pony, not on conformation. Rosette to every competitor.

Class 19. BONNY PONY in hand or Ridden

 

Class 20 -   FANCY DRESS ON HORSEBACK This class will be in the main ring at approximately  3pm and the entry is free.  Rosettes and prize money awarded. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ENTER AT THE HORSE SECRETARYS BEFORE THE CLASS!!

Class 21. FAMILY HORSE to be judged on suitability for every member of the family to ride and handle.  Conformation will not be taken into account

Class 22. .RIDDEN VETERAN 15 yrs and over, competitors will not be asked to canter.

Class 23. GENERAL RIDING CLUB TYPE  Exceeding  148cm (14.2) Rider any age to be judged on manners, performance, and suitability for all Riding club type activities. To include a small jump.

Class 24. POTENTIAL COMPETITION HORSE- mare or gelding 15hh or over 4/5 yrs old . Rider any age. Will be required to jump a small fence.

Class 25. RACEHORSE TO RIDING HORSE  - mare or gelding thoroughbred 4 yrs old and over exceeding 15hh (153cm) that has been in training and is registered at wetherbys to be judged as a riding horse

 

 MINIATURE HORSE CLASSES

The miniature horse classes are open to horses not exceeding 38" at maturity.

The classes are run under the rules of the Miniature Horse Club of Great Britain, a copy of the rules can be obtained  from The President, MHCGB,
Newclose Farm, Calf Fallow Lane, Norton, Stockton on Tees TS20 1PQ,
or downloaded from the MHCGB website www.mhcgb.net.

Open to 2012 members of MHCGB  - membership no. to be stated.This show is a qualifier for MHCGB National Championship Show held at MoultonCollege Equestrian Centre, Northampton on August 26th and 27th 2012.

1st to 3rd place to qualify.

 

Class 26:          Yearling, filly, colt or gelding not exceeding 38” at maturity

Class 27:          2 & 3 year olds, filly colt or gelding not exceeding 38” at maturity

Class 28:          4 yrs and over stallion, mare or gelding not exceeding 38” at maturity

Class 29:          Broken coloured and Spotted to be judged on 80% colour, 20% conformation
Open to horses any age not exceeding 38”

Class 30:          Solid Colour, to be judged 80% colour, 20% conformation
Open to horses any age not exceeding 38”

 Championship open to first and second placed horses

 

UNAFFILIATED SHOW JUMPING

( HORSES AND PONIES WILL JUMP TOGETHER WITH A SEPERATE JUMP OFF AND WILL BE JUDGED SEPERATELY)

Class 33 : Genuine Lead Rein , Rider 7yrs  and Under

Class 34 : Just Off lead Rein , 10 yrs and under , Jumps 40 cm

Class 35 : Novice Pony / Horse ,Jumps 2ft  Combination not to have been placed        in any Jumping Competition. Competitors in class 33 and 34 not eligible to compete.

Class 36 : Intermediate Pony/horse-   Jumps 2”6

Class 37: Open Pony/Horse -   Jumps 2”9

Class 38 : Horse and Hound , 12 and under , Pony and Rider will jump one round then rider will take their dog around over the fences again

Ring 2

                        Clear round  : 9 am start to go up every hour £2.50 on the day

                                          Handy Hunter

Ring 2 :  1pm start
             Entry Fee £5.00 before the day, £8.00 on the day
                  Prize money to 3rd and Rosettes to 4th place
This class will include an obstacle course, Jumps and a show

Class 39 : Handy hunter – 9 yrs and under

Class 40 : Handy Hunter – 12 yrs and under

Class 41 :Handy Hunter  Horse to be over 14.2hh

MINI GRAND NATIONAL

PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL COMMENCE AT 1PM

Entry fee £5.00 at the Horse Secretary’s tent

DIVISION 1
Pony 12.2hh or under, rider 8yrs or under – lead rein
One circuit, four fences

DIVISION 2
Pony 12.2hh or under, rider 12 yrs or under
Two circuits, eight fences

Prize Money 1st £15.00, 2nd £10.00, 3rd £7.00 with Rosettes to 4th place

A Trophy will be awarded to the winners of each division.
A prize of £5.00 will be awarded to the best turned out in each division.
All Ponies and Riders to report to the main ring collecting area 15 minutes before
the start of the race, accompanied by a groom to lead the pony around the ring.

Back protectors, Skull caps and suitable footwear must be worn

Racing colours will be supplied on the day
